Our beliefs

  • The Scriptures

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as the Holy Spirit moved them. The New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, we accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine (2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21).

  • The Godhead

Our God is one, but manifest in three persons - the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit, being co-equal (Philippians 2:6). The Father is greater than all, sender of the Word (Logos) and the Begetter (John 14:28, 16:28, 1:14). The Son is the Word flesh-covered, the One Begotten, and has existed with the Father from the beginning (John 1:1,14,18). Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal (John 15:26).

  • Man, His Fall and Redemption

Man is created by God and in His image and likeness, but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." "As it is written there is none righteous, no not one." Jesus Christ, the Son of God was manifested to destroy the work of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Romans 5:14, 3:23, 1 John 3:8). Salvation is the free gift of God to man, separate from works and the law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God (Ephesians 2:8).

  • Baptism into Christ

This begins at the moment of our regeneration, when man comes to Christ, committed to submit to His Lordship. It is a lifelong baptism involving one’s life being immersed into His death - living a crucified life, dead to sin and alive to God; and baptized or immersed into His Body - being an active, loving and powerful part of His Body, the church. (Romans 6:3, 1 Corinthians 12:13, 2 Corinthians 7:10, 1 John 5:12, John 3:3-5, Romans 10:9,10, Acts 4:12).

  • Baptism in Water

Baptism in water is a command to believers subsequent to Salvation. This baptism requires full immersion in water 3 times, once each in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It involves a public renunciation of former sins and is a prophetic demonstration of one’s commitment to live a crucified life in the resurrection power of the Spirit. Water Baptism should be done once a believer has demonstrated their commitment to Christ’s Lordship and to His Church. (Matthew 28:19, Matthew 3:4-6, Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12, Acts 8:36-39).

  • Baptism in the Spirit

The Baptism in the Spirit is a gift and promise of the Father sent by Jesus Christ to all believers until His return. This gift is subsequent to the New Birth and is for every believer today and until His return. Jesus is the Baptizer in the Spirit. This is when the Holy Spirit “comes upon” and “clothes” the believer with power to accompany the gospel message. This experience is accompanied by the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance and 7 expressions which Isaiah refers to as the 7 Spirits of God. (Luke 24:49, Acts 1:4-5 & 8, 2:4, 38 & 39, 19:1-7, Matthew 3:11, John 14:16 & 17, Isaiah 11:1-3).

  • Sanctification

The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ's return (Hebrews 12:14, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, 2 Peter 3:18, 2 Corinthians 3: 18, Philippians 3:12-14, 1 Corinthians 1:30).

  • Divine Healing

Physical and emotional healing are part of the believer's inheritance while alive in the physical body, made possible through the atoning work of Jesus Christ. Believers can receive and/or convey physical healing by the laying on of hands for recovery or by the Gifts of the Healings by the Holy Spirit. (Mark 16:17, James 5:14 & 15, 1 Corinthians 12:9, 1 Peter 2:24, Matthew 8:17, Isaiah 53:4 & 5, Isaiah 61:1, Psalm 23:3, 34:18, 147:3, 3 John 2).

  • Deliverance

Being freed from demons, their oppressions and afflictions, is part of the believer's inheritance while alive in the physical body. Demons can occupy the soul and/or body of a believer, but not their spirit and includes repentance from personal sins as well as the sins of previous generations. Removing the legal rights of demons, breaking bloodline curses and casting out demons is the heritage of every believer. We believe that Jesus Christ has given all believers authority to cast out demons and over all the power of the enemy. (1 John 3:8b, Matthews 10:1, 12:29, Mark 6:7, 16:17,18, Luke 10:19, 1 John 4:4).

  • The Great Commission

The Bible commands us to preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to every creature throughout the world, to baptize them and teach them how to obey God. Our job is not to make converts, but to make disciples. We endeavor to do this where we live and throughout the earth. (Mark 16:15 & 16, Matthew 28:19 & 20, Acts 1:8).

  • Resurrection of the Just and the Return of our Lord

The angels said to Jesus' disciples, "This same Jesus shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Himgo into heaven." His coming is imminent. When He comes, "...the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the air..." (Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:16 &17).

  • Hell and Eternal Retribution

Hell and eternal retribution are a legal sentence decreed at the time of the White Throne Judgment, following the 2nd Resurrection (the Resurrection of the Unjust). This judgment is reserved for the wicked and all who refused Christ’s lordship while alive in the body, and includes fallen angels and their Nephilim offspring. (Hebrews 6:2 & 9:27, Daniel 12:2, Matthew 10:28; John 5:28,29, Revelation 19:20).

  • The Sanctity of Marriage

From the beginning of creation when God established marriage to be a holy lifelong covenant, held in honor before the Lord, between one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:18-24, Matthew 19:4-6, Hebrews 13:4, Proverbs 18:22).

  • The Ascension Gifts of Christ

Jesus Himself gave gifts to men upon His ascension, representing five aspects of His own ministry while He was on the earth. These gifts (commonly called the five-fold ministry) consist of: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. These gifts will continue to operate in the Church until Christ's return, with special importance placed on the Apostle and Prophet as foundational gifts. (Ephesians 4:11, 1 Corinthians 12:28, Ephesians 2:20).

  • The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit gives special supernatural gifts to members of the Body of Christ who have received the subsequent experience to Salvation called The Baptism Of The Holy Spirit. These nine gifts consist of: The Word Of Knowledge, The Word Of Wisdom, The Discerning of Spirits, The Gifts Of Healings, The Working Of Miracles, The Gift Of Faith, Tongues, The Interpretation Of Tongues and Prophecy. These gifts only operate as the Spirit wills and at His discretion. They will continue to the end of the Church Age. (1 Corinthians 12: 1-11; 13: 8-10).
